TWFM Computers for Heroes Program
At The Warfighters Mission, we don’t just see veterans, we see individuals with unique stories, needs, and goals. The Computers for Heroes program was born from a simple belief: that no veteran should be left behind in a world that’s moving fast and mostly online.
Every computer is built from scratch by our founder and president, Brandon Cabalar. Nothing comes off a factory line or out of a warehouse. Each part is personally selected, purchased, assembled, and configured by hand. It’s a bit more work, sure, but it also means more intention and care go into every machine we give away.
When a request comes in, Brandon doesn’t just check off a list. He personally reaches out to the veteran, listens to their story, and figures out what they actually need. Because truthfully, there’s no such thing as a one-size-fits-all solution. Some are looking to go back to school. Others need a way to attend telehealth appointments or just stay in touch with family. And a few simply want a fresh start.
These computers, while they might look like just pieces of hardware, often become much more. They’re tools for reconnection. Gateways to stability. Sometimes even small sparks of hope.
But for us, it’s never just about the technology. Every computer is hand delivered whenever possible. And when we arrive, we don’t just drop off a box and walk away. We meet the veteran face-to-face, hear about their life, pray with them if they’re open to it, and remind them that they’re not forgotten. Not now, not ever.
This program is and always will be a ministry. A mission. A quiet promise that someone still sees them, still believes in them, and is willing to stand in the gap when life feels overwhelming.
